Opposition parties in Tripura demand CAPF for upcoming urban body elections

Agartala, Oct 15 (UNI) Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) has intensified preparations for the Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, scheduled in November, and held an all-party meeting last evening discussing election arrangements, electoral rolls and security. The SEC Chief, Dr P K Chakraborty, said the voting will take place in 21 municipal bodies across the state, including the Agartala Municipal Corporation. He said the commission had begun several steps to support a smooth and peaceful election.
