Meghalaya CEO directs election officials to ensure voter-friendly measures

Shillong, Oct 1 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr B.D.R. Tiwari has directed all election officials to ensure the effective implementation of voter-friendly measures to assist electors during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 of electoral rolls in the state. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday extended the timeline for the SIR of electoral rolls in Meghalaya to October 26, when the final revised electoral roll is scheduled to be published.
