Bengal: Floating footbridge comes up at flood-hit Bhutni

Siliguri, Sep 29 (UNI) A temporary floating footbridge is being constructed at South Chandipur in Malda's Manikchak area to provide relief to residents who have been facing serious problems in crossing a damaged portion of the embankment following the recent flood in Bhutni. The initiative has been taken by the Malda district administration as part of the post-flood restoration work in the three gram panchayats of Bhutni, which were badly affected by the rise in the Ganga.
