Durgapur, Sep 24 (UNI) The discharge rate of Durgapur Barrage on the Damodar river has further increased to 51,750 cusecs on Thursday afternoon, senior river management officials said. The discharge, if scaled up further following the anticipated heavy rains in the upper Damodar basin, may pose a fresh flood threat to the downstream districts. The combined discharge from the Maithon and Panchet upper dams stood at 47,000 cusecs on Thursday.
