Bengal UDMA minister orders revamp of dilapidated parks

Kolkata, Nov 2 (UNI) West Bengal Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul has ordered a comprehensive renovation of dilapidated neighbourhood parks along Canal East Road and Canal West Road, proposing to turn them into multi-purpose community spaces with dedicated facilities for yoga, children's tuition classes and indoor sports. During an inspection of the parks on Monday, Paul directed officials to prepare a comprehensive redevelopment plan, stressing that the proposed work should go beyond routine cleaning and beautification to provide facilities catering to residents across different age groups.
