Bengal: Former DCP Shantanu Sinha Biswas booked under Prevention of Corruption Act

Kolkata, Sep 16 (UNI) A fresh complaint has been lodged against former DCP Shantanu Sinha Biswas at Gariahat Police Station under the Prevention of Corruption Act, alleging that he abused his official position to obtain financial benefits worth around Rs 2.89 crore. According to the complaint, Biswas allegedly received the benefits directly and indirectly through cash payments, gifts and other financial arrangements. The allegations include payments made to his family members and properties allegedly acquired through benami transactions.
