Bhubaneswar, Oct 5 (UNI) Odisha Police has intensified its statewide 'Daman' campaign against criminals, narcotics and illicit liquor trade, executing 1,448 non-bailable warrants and initiating proceedings against 1,012 persons under Section 129 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) since the drive was launched on September 21. The special campaign, launched under the direction of Director General of Police Binaytosh Mishra, involves coordinated operations by the district police, Commissionerate Police, Railway Police and other specialised police units.
