Nearly 500 grams of heroin seized along Mizoram-Myanmar border

Aizawl, Sep 22 (UNI) Nearly half a kilogram of heroin was seized during a joint operation by Mizoram Excise and Narcotics officials and Assam Rifles personnel along the Mizoram-Myanmar border on Tuesday, with one person arrested for alleged possession and trafficking of the contraband. The seizure of 492.160 grams of heroin was made at about 2 pm on a road connecting Zote and Bulfek villages in Champhai district, Excise and Narcotics department spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga said.
