659.7 gm suspected heroin seized in Arunachal's Changlang, one held

Itanagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang Police, in a joint operation with the Assam Rifles, seized 659.7 grams of suspected heroin and arrested a man in Nampong area, police said on Wednesday. Acting on specific intelligence on Tuesday, a joint team of Nampong Police and Assam Rifles intercepted a motorcycle and recovered the suspected contraband. The accused was identified as Sentu Hangmu of Lazu in Tirap district. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the accused arrested after completion of legal formalities under the close supervision of SP Changlang, police said.…
