Bengal: NIT Durgapur professor features in Stanford-Elsevier list of top 2 pc scientists for 6th consecutive year

Durgapur, Oct 9 (UNI) Chemical Engineering Professor Dr Parimal Pal of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, has featured for the sixth consecutive time in the Stanford-Elsevier ranking of the world's top 2 per cent scientists for 2026. The report, published annually in September-October, is not an award but a global, metrics-based ranking that evaluates scientists across 22 fields using citation-impact indicators. Stanford University in California, USA, and Amsterdam-based scientific publisher Elsevier jointly conduct the survey each year to assess researchers' scientific contributions globally.
