Airport authority writes to airline CEOs to increase fleet from Agartala

Agartala, Sept 17 (UNI) Amid uncertainty over air connectivity in Tripura, following the withdrawal of several flights from Agartala, airport authorities have initiated a 24-day 'Yatri Sewa Abhiyan 2026' on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday from on Thursday. MBB Airport Director, Krishan Mohan Nehra, mentioned that efforts are ongoing to persuade airlines to maximise their operations at Agartala. Letters have been sent to airline CEOs urging them to either continue or start services to and from Agartala, highlighting that flight occupancy often reaches 95-99% during peak periods.
