Odisha: 15 PRI representatives suspended over corruption, fund misuse

Bhubaneswar, Sep 22 (UNI) Fifteen representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in Odisha have been suspended in the last two years in connection with cases of alleged corruption and misappropriation of government funds, while prosecution has been initiated against four others, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik told the Assembly today. Replying to a question from BJD MLA Pratap Keshari Deb, Naik said the action was taken against PRI representatives in cases relating to corruption and misuse of government funds.
