Opposition protests over textbook errors, MMDR Act disrupt Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar, Sep 22 (UNI) The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 1.10 PM on Tuesday on the opening day of the Monsoon Session after Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress members stormed into the well of the House and disrupted proceedings over textbook errors and the MMDR Amendment Act. The disruption began shortly after the House adopted an obituary motion moved by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi mourning the deaths of six former MLAs and people killed in flash floods in Nepal.
