Mining regulation in Tripura shifted to Industry Department

Agartala, Sept 20 (UNI) The Tripura government has recently implemented a significant administrative change in the regulations governing sand mining by transferring oversight from the Forest Department to the Department of Industries & Commerce. Under the new structure, the Department of Industries & Commerce will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sand mining, including processing applications, issuing and renewing permits, approving mining plans, managing mining leases, and addressing various regulatory and administrative matters related to the sector.
