Odisha crisis group calls for a robust coordinated system to minimize impact of chemical accidents

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 (UNI ) A meeting of the Odisha Crisis Group held on Tuesday stressed the need to build a robust and coordinated system based on prevention, mitigation measures, preparedness, rapid response and public participation to minimise the impact of chemical accidents. The meeting also discussed strengthening the database related to chemical accidents, medical preparedness, public awareness, safety audits, safety reports and the capacity of emergency control rooms.
