Saint-Gobain India, IIT-M to establish next-gen research labs on adoption of light and sustainable construction

Chennai, Nov 2 (UNI) Saint-Gobain India continues to strengthen its strategic partnership with the IIT-Madras to establish two state-of-the-art research laboratories focused on accelerating innovation in adoption of light and sustainable construction materials and digital technologies for the built environment. Supported through a grant of Rs.3.8 crore, the three-year partnership will boost IIT Madras' research capabilities to leverage technologies and address critical challenges facing the construction sector The outcomes envisaged include developing practical solutions for the built environment, supporting the construction industry's transition towards smarter infrastructure and lower-carbon building materials.
