Railways approves 49 Km rail projects in Maha at Rs 990 Cr

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) Indian Railways has approved two major railway infrastructure projects in Maharashtra with a combined investment of nearly Rs 990 crore, aimed at improving regional connectivity, increasing network capacity and facilitating faster movement of passengers and freight. The projects include a 38.21-km new rail line between Mukutban in Yavatmal district and Gadchandur in Chandrapur district, sanctioned for Rs 493 crore, and the 10.86-km doubling of the Chouk-Karjat section of Central Railway, estimated to cost Rs 497 crore.
