Japanese semiconductor major Hirata enters India, partners with ATS India

Hyderabad, Sept 16 (UNI) Japanese semiconductor manufacturing and automation equipment major Hirata Corporation has entered the Indian market through a strategic partnership with ATS India (Automated Tooling Systems India). Under the partnership, ATS India will serve as Hirata's exclusive distribution partner in India and facilitate access to the Japanese company's semiconductor equipment and technology portfolio for Indian manufacturers. The partnership comes ahead of India's hosting of Semicon 2026 and amid efforts to strengthen domestic semiconductor manufacturing and electronics manufacturing capabilities, the companies said in a release on Wednesday.
