Visakhapatnam, Oct 30 (UNI) Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has designated 45 executives as Departmental Safety Officers (DSOs) to strengthen its safety management system and promote a safety-conscious work culture across the plant. The officers will be responsible for ensuring the use of personal protective equipment at workplaces, compliance with the Permit-to-Work system, conducting safety training, leading Safety, Health and Environment walks, encouraging near-miss reporting and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, the Plant said in a release on Friday.
