Young voter damages EVM with axe in Nanded

Nanded, Apr 26 (UNI) In a serious incident during second phase of Lok Sabha polling in Maharashtra, a young man allegedly broke an electronic voting machine with an axe in Nanded Lok Sabha constituency of Marathwada region on Friday, disrupting the process for some time.
The incident occurred at Ramtirth polling station in Biloli taluka of the district, where one Bhaiyasaheb Yedke came for voting with an axe and smashed EVM, claiming that he did this to save the Constitution and was fed up of being unemployed.
Following this incident, police have detained him.
