Will make three crore women 'Lakhpati Didi': Modi

Shahjahanpur (UP), April 25 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will work to make three crore women 'Lakhpati Didi' in the next five years when it comes to power at the center for the third time.
Addressing an election rally in Shahjahanpur, the PM said, "In the next five years, we will make three crore women Lakhpati Didis. You can imagine when there will be three crore Lakhpati Didis in the village and how much their families will progress. How much will the economy of the village progress?"
He said, "It is your democratic duty to give a big message to the people with an anti-national mentality through your vote. The one who controls terrorism will make India the third-largest economy in the world. I am confident that the land of revolutionaries will stand at the forefront of such a big national sacrifice."
Modi said that Shahjahanpur is the same area that was the biggest victim of stalled projects before the formation of the Yogi government, but today the situation is different. "Expressways are passing where there are no safe roads. The foundation of the modern Ganga Expressway was laid in Shahjahanpur itself," he said.
He said, "People here will also get major benefits from the Shahjahanpur Bypass, the Shahjahanpur Pilibhit National Highway, and the Sitapur Lucknow Highway. This development has not only reduced the distance between Lucknow and Delhi but also, through different corridors, our government is promoting works like Zardozi under the Forest District Forest Scheme. Its artisans will also get huge benefits from it. This will also change the fate of the farmers in the area," he said.
Modi said, "In Yogi ji's government, the payment for sugarcane is made on time. Two ethanol plants have also been set up for the sugarcane farmers. Tell me, can we expect any development from the pair of boys? This is our first priority for the young poor, women, and our food provider. We have given PM Awas to four crore poor people; most of them have toilets built in the name of women; the problems of the sisters have been reduced through the Ujjwala Yojana and the Jal Jeevan Mission."
He said that now, in the next five years, we will make 3 crore women Lakhpati Didis. "Just imagine, when there are 3 crore Lakhpati Didis in the village, how much their families will progress, how much the economy of the village will progress, and these are 3 crore Lakhpati Didis. Modi seeks blessings from God by giving an account of his work towards the development of the country," he said.
The PM said that now there are no blasts anywhere, whereas during the tenure of the Congress government, people lived under the shadow of fear. "There used to be bomb blasts every day; innocent people would die without any reason, but now the Congress people are not ready to reform. Opposition parties were invited to Ram Temple, which was rejected," he said.
