Together with TV and theatres, OTT will help film industry grow strength to strength: Madhuri Dixit

Panaji, Nov 28 (UNI) Actress Madhuri Dixit on Sunday said that together with TV and theatres, OTT platform will help the film industry grow strength to strength.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 52nd edition of the film festival, she said, 'I strongly believe that video streaming for the last few years has brought about a huge change in how we create and consume content. Together with tv and theatres, OTT will continue to help our industry to grow from strength to strength.'

The Bollywood diva appreciated every filmmaker, artists and technicians of film industry for their perseverance for having the courage to hold on to their dreams and giving them the chance to fall in love in their stories.
She said it was heartening to note that IFFI provides a global platform to the Indian content creators technicians allowing them to showcase the prowess of Indian entertainment to the world.

'Over the years I had the privilege of working with some of the finest film makers, story tellers, actors and technicians in the country. Making a film or any form of content for that matter is not an easy task. It requires years to offer a story to the audience,' she said.

The actress said the contribution of women and their voices were integral to the growth of not just industry but also nation.

She applauded IFFI for showing some movies which were led by women both in front and behind the camera.

'I applaud them for their conviction, commitment and for being the inspiration to the younger generation of female creators, writers and actors as they work together to make a mark in the industry,' she said.
