Telangana Govt announces intermediate first & second-year exam results

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Telangana Government unveiled the results of the intermediate first and second-year examinations on Wednesday at the Intermediate Board office, Nampally.
During the announcement, Burra Venkatesham, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, revealed that 60.01 per cent of students passed the first-year exams, while 64.19 per cent passed the second-year exams.
Out of a total of 4.78 lakh students who appeared for the first-year exams, 2.87 lakh passed, whereas 5.02 lakh students took the secondary exams, with 3.22 lakh passing. Once again, girls outperformed boys, with 68.35 per cent of girls passing the first-year exams compared to 51.5 per cent of boys. Similarly, in the second year, 72.53 per cent of girls passed, whereas only 56.1 per cent of boys succeeded.
