Leaders of Japan, S Korea, China could meet for trilateral summit in may

Tokyo, April 10 (UNI) Japan, China and South Korea are in the final stages of making arrangements to hold a high-level trilateral summit in late May, Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol will likely meet in South Korea, the rotating chair of the trilateral summit, on May 26-27 for the first trilateral summit in nearly four and a half years since December 2019, the report said.
The officials are expected to discuss regional affairs, including North Korea, and economic cooperation, the newspaper reported.
