20 killed in militant clashes in S. Syria

Damascus, Apr 8 (UNI) Twenty people, including children, were killed on Sunday due to violent clashes between local militants in the southern Syrian province of Daraa, local media reported.
The violence, which occurred in the city of Sanamayn in northern Daraa, was an act of revenge for a deadly explosion a day earlier that killed at least seven children here, the Sham FM radio said, citing local sources.
The recent incidents highlighted the fragile situation in Daraa, the birthplace of the Syrian civil war that broke out in 2011.
