NSA Ajit Doval holds talks on Indo-Pacific developments, Afghanistan, terrorism in Paris visit

Paris/New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) India and France held talks on the developments in the Indo-Pacific region, the Afghan situation, terrorism and emerging threats in the maritime, cyber and space domains among other issues, and agreed on the need for closer partnership, including in the UN Security Council and other UN forums, during the visit of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to Paris.
Doval was in Paris on November 5 for the annual India-France Strategic Dialogue, and also held talks with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Defence Minister Florence Parly.
During the Strategic Dialogue, which he co-chaired with Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France, and in the meetings, France stressed its continuing commitment to the Indo-Pacific region, as a resident power, and partnership with India as a major pillar of its Indo Pacific strategy.
