Portugal's prez names Luis Montenegro as new PM

Lisbon, Mar 21 (UNI) Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said Wednesday night he has named Luis Montenegro as new prime minister, official media reported.

The information was announced by the Presidential Office minutes after Montenegro, leader of Portugal's opposition center-right Democratic Alliance, ended a meeting with the president, according to Lusa News Agency.
