Day temp above normal at MP & Telangana

Pune, Apr 4 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Marathwada, West Bengal and Sikkim; at many places over Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi; at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh , east Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Punjab, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Gujarat state and Arunachal Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.0°C was reported at Nandyal(Rayalaseema) over the country.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets over north interior Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Arunachal Pradesh and at a few places in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
