Day temp appreciably normal at few places

Pune, Mar 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad; at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Kerala and Mahe; at a few places over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch.
They were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at a few places over Bihar; at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at a few places over Andaman, Nicobar Islands; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal and near normal over the rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 40.8°C was reported at Malegaon (Madhya Maharashtra) over the country.
Night temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Marathwada; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Bihar; at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe. They are below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and near normal over the rest parts of the country. Today, the lowest minimum temperature of 13.6°C is reported at Karnal (Haryana) over the plains of the country.
