Rare, complicated surgery successfully performed telescopically at Medicover Hospital

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mar 13 (UNI) A challenging and rare minimally invasive double valve surgery was successfully performed on a minor girl suffering from multiple co-morbidities at Medicover Hospital here recently.
The five-hour complicated surgery was performed by cardiac surgeon Dr Manish Puranik and a team of experts on the 13-year-old girl through a four-centimetre keyhole using a telescope.
Addressing media persons here at Medicover hospital on Wednesday, Dr Puranik said that this 13-year-old girl had many co-morbidities.
