Islampur sub-district hospital emerges 1st in Maha under Kayakalp initiative

Sangli, Mar 14 (UNI) Sub-district hospital in Islampur town of Walva tehsil in the district won first prize in Maharashtra under the Kayakalp (renovation) venture of National Health Mission implemented by the state government.
While sub-district hospitals in Kavathe-Mahankal, Tasgaon, Chichniwangi and Shirala of the district were honoured with a consolation prize.
After the state government implemented Kayakalp initiative, a total of 134 sub-district hospitals were evaluated and sub-district hospital in Islampur won first prize and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh.
