Goa Govt mulling to launch Pink Police Force for women's safety

Panaji, Nov 10 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that the state government was planning to introduce the Pink Police Force for the safety of women.
Speaking at an event in the city, he said, ''We have a high crime detection rate in the state. We need to prevent crime. We need to find ways to prevent crime, especially for the safety of women. The Home Department will act upon this and provide whatever support is required. There would a Pink Police Force for the safety of women.''
Mukesh Kumar Meena said patrolling would be done by women police at some places and Women Help Desk at police stations would be strengthened.
