1983 veteran gets service pension after 38 yrs of retirement from Army

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 30 (UNI) The resolute efforts made by veteran cell of Pangode Military Station bears fruit as a 1983 veteran receives his service pension after a gap of more than 38 years after his retirement from Army.
Ex Spr Sudevan G (No 1361163Y) was discharged from service on April 12, 1983 due to being placed in low medical category.
He was denied medical pension and thus effectively became ineligible for any kind of pension/relief though he had eight years of service to the nation in his credit.

The CPI(M) politburo member talking to the media after voting at RC Amala school booth at Pinarayi near Dharmadam, said Jayarajan should practice caution while choosing friends from the political opponent spectrum.
