Day temp appreciably normal at J&K, Assam

Pune, Apr 3 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, north interior Karnataka; at many places over West Bengal and Sikkim, Vidarbha, south interior Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe; at a few places over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gujarat state, east Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the
country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 42.6°C was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the
country.
