Srinagar, April 9 (UNI) Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan, will be celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-Din Ahmad, announced this evening that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated tomorrow following reports of sightings of the crescent.
On eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, markets wore a festive look across Kashmir.
Greetings poured in from all over on the festive eve.
National Conference Party President Farooq Abdullah, Vice President Omar Abdullah, Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone, Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari, CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, and Kashmiri separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq extended warm greetings to people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
