Lathmar Holi brings festive spirit to Nandgaon

Mathura (UP), Mar 19 (UNI) After the exuberant Holi celebrations in the village of Barsana, the revelry of Lathmar Holi cascaded through Nandgaon, the village of Lord Krishna, in Mathura on Tuesday.
The spirited women of Nandgaon had prepared themselves well in advance, adorned in traditional attire and ornaments, they arrived at the Holi Chowk in anticipation. After welcoming the women from Barsana, the festivities started and they danced amidst a rainbow of Holi colours at the temple. Subsequently, descending to the square, the traditional Lathmar Holi ensued.
Accompanied by companions from Barsana, the huriyaras, arrived from Barsana to solicit the Holi festivity. Engaging in playful banter and exchanges, they partook in the revelry alongside the women.
