Speaker of HP Assembly reserves decision on disqualification petition against six Congress MLAs

Shimla, Feb 28 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania has reserved the decision on the disqualification petition moved by Congress legislature party against six MLAs for defying the party whip twice during discussion on the finance or money bills, leading to a lack of quorum.
Speaking to UNI, Himachal Pradesh Assembly secretary Yashpal Sharma said the Speaker reserved the decision on the disqualification petition against the six Congress MLAs - Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Ravi Thakur, Inderdut Lakhanpal, Chetnya Sharma and Devinder Bhuto.
The CLP moved the disqualification petition against the MLAs on Tuesday after the adjournment of the budget session due to a lack of sufficient quorum in the house, stating that these members acted in breach of the whip issued by the legislature party on two occasions.
