New Delhi Feb 29 (UNI) Reiterating its commitments towards the welfare of farmers of the country, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday again stressed on providing legal guarantee for MSP if voted to power and called it as Congress guarantee.
The Congress president on X said, “The Congress has again promised the farmers to give legal guarantee for MSP to 15 crore farmers and it is only Congress that fulfills its guarantee”.

Hitting out at BJP for not fulfilling its promise made to the farmers, Kharge said that Modi’s guarantee of 50 percent MSP and doubling the income of farmers by 2022 turned out to be “fake”.

But now the Congress has again promised the farmers and this promise will be fulfilled, Kharge said.

He said that 16 years ago the Congress-led UPA government had waived off farm loans and interest worth Rs 72,000 crores of 3.73 crore farmers.

Adding that, “This was the guarantee of the Congress which was fulfilled”.

Meanwhile, the party also attacked the BJP government on its official page with regards to unemployment saying “know the truth about unemployment in the country".

The party said that in Haryana more than 9000 candidates applied for 12 peon posts. The situation of unemployment in the state is so dire that youth holding B.Tech and M.Tech degrees have applied for the posts.

Alleging BJP as enemy of the youth and putting their future in darkness, the party said that neither the party can provide jobs nor they are able to save paper leaks.
