New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) India has recorded 9,283 new cases of Covid-19 and 437 deaths during the past 24 hours, addition of these new fatalities has taken the total death toll to 4,66,584, said the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, active cases of Covid-19 have declined to 1,11,481, which is lowest in 537 days. Presently, the active cases stand at 0.32 percent, lowest since March 2020, the Ministry’s data said.

The recovery rate touched 98. 33 per cent as 10,949 patients recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,39,57,698.

"The daily positivity rate is 0.80 per cent, which is less than 2 per cent for the last 51 days, whereas the weekly positivity rate is 0.93 per cent which also remains less than 2 per cent for the last 61 days now," the Ministry said.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. India has so far conducted over 63.47 crore tests across the country.

With the administration of 76,58,203 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 118.44 crores, as per the Ministry.

"More than 131 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through direct state procurement category,' the Ministry added.

"More than 21.65 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs," the Ministry added.
