Odisha witnesses sharp rise in day temperature

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29 (UNI) Several parts of Odisha experienced an unprecedented rise in day temperature due to prevailing dry conditions over major parts of the state and high solar insolation, Met sources said.
It said the maximum (day) temperature is further likely to rise by 2 degree Celsius at a few places over some parts of interior Odisha during next 48 hours and there will be no large change thereafter over the state.
Consequently, maximum (day) temperature is likely to be between 38 to 40 degree Celsius at many places over interior districts of the state and between 36 to 38 degree Celsius over the coastal districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.
