Voting is a fundamental right which must be exercised by all responsible citizens: Arunachal Guv

Itanagar, Feb 28 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik said on Wednesday that voting is a fundamental right that must be exercised by all responsible citizens. It is a way to safeguard other rights and freedoms by ensuring that everyone has a voice in the political process.
The Governor said this while receiving his Elector's Photo Identity Card (EPIC) from the officials of Nirvachan Bhavan, Itanagar today.
He said that through voting, diverse perspectives and voices can be represented in government.

At least 650 houses damaged by hailstorm so far

Aizawl, Apr 28(UNI) At least 650 homes including 51 houses in Tualpui and Vanka villages of northeastern Khawza distrrict have been ravaged by rain accompanied by massive hailstorm and gusty wind in Mizora on Saturday morning
Sources said 24 houses houses have been destroyed in Tualpui and 27 houses damaged in Vankal village when a heavy hailstorm hit the two villages at around 2 AM on Saturday morning.
