TVS SCS achieves milestone of 500,000 two-wheeler CKD kits for its customer

Kolkata, Apr 11 (UNI) TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited, a global supply chain solutions provider and one of the largest and fastest growing integrated supply chain solutions providers in India, on Thursday announced that they achieved a milestone of 500,000 CKD (Complete Knock-Down) kits for its customer, TVS Motor Company.
This was achieved in TVS SCS’ dedicated warehouse facility at Hosur. The company’s advanced warehouse facility spanning 1,50,000 sq. ft, ensures defect-free dispatches and prevents parts mismatch, according to a media statement.
At its Hosur facility, TVS SCS provides end-to-end value-added services like, production planning, quality management, inbound material activities, kitting, reverse logistics, export, etc. The fully automated facility achieved its first milestone of 100,000 CKD kits in July 2022, subsequently, it demonstrated a consistent pattern of adding one lakh kits to the milestone once in every five months.
Says Ravi Viswanathan, Managing Director, TVS Supply Chain Solutions, “It is a remarkable milestone that highlights the significance of our digital capabilities, scalability and adaptability that ensured we stayed in line with our customers' evolving requirements. Through our value-added services we deliver world-class sub-assembly and kitting processes by utilising AI and visual technology.”
The CKD kits cater to TVS Motor's 26 export markets in Asia and Africa. TVS SCS’s ultra-modern tech-driven facility supports in enhancing global export capabilities through CKD assembly with a focus on achieving zero defects.
Currently, around 220 personnel are employed across various production departments at its Hosur facility. This includes 30 women employees involved in various activities like primary packing, secondary packing, quality, and binning processes of the CKD kits.
