Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Expressing grief over the death of senior leader and former state minister Minakshi Patil from the Peasants and Workers Party (PWP), Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Friday that Minakshitai's passing is the end of a resistant chapter.
He said that Minakshitai's leadership was fearless and took to the streets for the people and raised suitable voices in the legislature.
Minakshitai Patil's entire family was associated with PWP, and she was weaned on the party's ideals. She would take to the streets and hold protests and agitations to raise public concerns. Her life was devoted to the welfare of the weak, deprived, and marginalised. Patil represented the Alibag Constituency three times in the Maharashtra Assembly.
