Bengaluru, Apr 19 (UNI) Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the tragic murder of 23-year-old MCA student Neha at BVB College in Hubballi, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Friday refuted allegations of 'love jihad' associated with the case.
In a statement, Parameshwara dismissed claims suggesting a communal angle to the crime. He revealed that investigations indicate Neha and the accused, Fayaz, had been in a relationship that had deteriorated over time.
"The motive behind the murder appears to be personal rather than communal," commented the Home Minister, urging the public and political parties not to politicise or communalise the sensitive issue.
