Indian Railways revolutionises ticketing with UTS on mobile app

Bengaluru, April 25 (UNI) In a significant leap towards modernising ticketing services, Indian Railways has transformed its ticketing system with the introduction of the Unified Ticketing System (UTS) on Mobile app. This innovative app emphasises cashless transactions, contactless ticketing, and enhanced customer convenience, marking a new era in railway ticketing.
A notable update in the UTS on Mobile application is the removal of distance restrictions for booking both journey and platform tickets. This groundbreaking change allows passengers to book tickets without geographical limitations, offering them unprecedented flexibility and convenience.
The popularity of the UTS on Mobile app has soared since its inception. In April 2023, the app recorded an average of 5301 tickets sold daily. Fast forward to April 2024, and this number has surged to an impressive 9388 tickets per day. This remarkable growth is a clear indication of the app's convenience and efficiency resonating with passengers.
