High time for the Centre to restore full statehood of J&K: Azad

Jammu, Dec 3 (UNI) Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday said that it is high time for the Centre to restore full statehood to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Election Commission must complete the ongoing Delimitation Commission exercise in Jammu and Kashmir because the time has come that full statehood must be restored now,” Azad said while addressing a public rally in Rajouri district.
Bills to protect jobs and land rights of Jammu and Kashmir residents must also be introduced, he said adding, “in absence of a popular government, the communication gap between common man and the bureaucracy has increased manifold, that has added misery to the people.”
