Woman held for targeting Delhi teacher online

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) The Cyber Police Station of North District has arrested a 22-year-old woman from Old Delhi for allegedly creating fake Instagram accounts to upload morphed and objectionable images of a fellow teacher in a bid to impersonate and malign her reputation.
The investigation was initiated after a 25-year-old teacher at a government-aided school filed a complaint. She reported that unknown individuals had created fake profiles in her name, used AI tools to fabricate compromising images, and sent follow requests to her students and colleagues with the clear objective of defaming her.
According to police, the accused, a former contractual Sanskrit teacher at the same school who left her job in 2022, was identified through technical analysis of data provided by Instagram. This data included IP logs, registered emails, and mobile numbers linked to the fraudulent accounts.
