Teenagers Arjun Chheda, Ishaan Madesh share honours

Coimbatore, July 20 (UNI) Teenagers dished out memorable skills and took the honours in both the premier categories, the MRF F2000 and F1600, as the first round of the MRF MMSC-FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship 2025 concluded at the Kari Motor Speedway here today.
Two 16-year-old drivers, Bengaluru’s Ishaan Madesh and Arjun Chheda from Pune won a race apiece in the MRF Formula 2000 class with the latter completing a double, having won Race-1 yesterday.
In the MRF Formula 1600 category, two Bengalureans, Arjun Nair, 20, and Nigel Abraham Thomas, 19, won one race each.

Australia beat South Africa in Women’s T20 World Cup

Manchester, June 13 (UNI) The Australian cricket team began its Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a convincing 65-run victory over South Africa at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground here on Saturday.
Phoebe Litchfield top-scored for Australia with a 24-ball 50, while Georgia Wareham was the pick of their bowlers after finishing with figures of 3/13. Laura Wolvaardt (44 off 39) was the Proteas’ best batter.
