New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Stating that India with nearly 26.4 lakh tuberculosis cases has the largest share of the global TB burden, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Monday expressed hope that "the Prime’s Ministers goal of a tuberculosis-free India by 2025 would be achieved" with the help of industry leaders and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Presiding over the inaugural session of a two-day CII Public Health Conference virtually, he thanked CII for organising this event amid the Covid pandemic, and reminded the audience that "this pandemic has given us a chance to revisit and structurally re-imagine a robust public health infrastructure for our country".
