Officials Must Work with Humanitarian Approach to Resolve Tribal Issues: Telangana Min.

Hyderabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Telangana Minister for Tribal Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar on Wednesday directed officials to adopt a humanitarian approach in addressing problems in tribal areas and accord top priority to creation of basic infrastructure.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat along with Government Adviser Shabbir Ali, the Minister said the government is committed to improving the lives of tribal communities and called upon officials to work sincerely in line with that objective.
He stressed the need to prioritise provision of roads, housing, electricity and drinking water facilities in tribal habitations, saying such infrastructure forms the foundation for improving living standards in tribal areas.

Chennai: Competing with the ruling DMK and its NDA ally, AIADMK, the BJP released its manifesto for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, announcing freebies of which some of the important ones were no different to those offered by the Dravidian majors. The saffron party promises Rs 2,000 for every women family head and Rs 10,000 one-time cash assistance for every family to cushion inflationary pressure and three LP cylinders a year free of cost. Further, the party pledges to extend Rs 25,000 to eligible women to purchase e-scooters.
